Florida is one of the best states in the USA for a fun-filled vacation. There are so many great things to do, to make memories that will last a lifetime. Here are my top 20 must-do experiences in Florida.

20. Check out the space rockets at the Kennedy Space Center
The Kennedy Space Center definitely deserves a spot in my top 20 must-do experiences in Florida. It’s a fascinating place to spend a day, where you can get up close to rockets and learn so much about space exploration. There are some really moving tributes to astronauts, and I left feeling really inspired. Check out the opening times here.
19. Go birdwatching in the Everglades
The Everglades are only a short drive from Miami, and another perfect place to spend a day in Florida. The wildlife in this National Park is amazing, and you can spend hours birdwatching. 18. Watch the fireworks at Disney World, Orlando
Watching the fireworks at Disney World, Orlando is definitely one of the top 20 must-do experiences in Florida. It’s a perfect ending to a fun-filled day in this magical theme park. 17. Sunbathe on Miami Beach
Florida is one of the sunniest states in the USA, which makes it a perfect place for some sunbathing. Miami Beach is a huge expanse of golden sand, with gentle waves from the deep blue sea. It’s a beautiful place to spend some time soaking up some sun. Check out my guide to the beach and other things to do in Miami beach here.
16. Ride the Jurassic Park log flume in Universal Studios, Orlando
Universal Studios, Orlando is another place in Florida for a fun-filled day out. One of my favourite rides was the Jurassic Park log flume. It was great to see the dinosaurs, and then experience the thrill of the steep drop on the log flume. Getting drenched at the end also definitely helped cope with the Florida heat as well! 15. Enjoy fresh sea food at the Fish House, Key Largo
One of the benefits of Florida having so much coastline is that the fresh seafood is amazing. The Florida Keys is one of the best places to try some seafood. One of my favourite restaurants was the Fish House in Key Largo. I had some amazing mahi-mahi, and there was a great choice of sauces for the fish as well. It’s a great place for a delicious and memorable meal.
14. Enjoy the entertainment and nightlife in Miami
Miami is famous for its entertainment and nightlife. If you’re visiting Miami, why not check out some of the entertainment. You can research the types of places you’d like to visit. Or alternatively, you can do what I did, and just wander around until you see something that catches your interest. Like the photo below…!
13. Go snorkelling in the Florida Keys
One of my favourite things to do in the Florida Keys is to go snorkelling. It’s definitely one of my top 20 must-do experiences in Florida. The coral reefs near Key Largo are beautiful. You can take a boat trip from Key Largo out to the reef, and they’ll give you snorkelling equipment as part of the boat trip. 12. Meet Prince Charming at the Disney Castle
Connect with your inner child on a visit to Disney World, Orlando. Seeing the grand Disney Castle always brings back so many childhood memories. It’s the perfect place for some photos before you start enjoying some of the Disney rides. And who knows, maybe your Prince Charming will be waiting for you at the castle…
11. Check out the shops and fashions in Miami Beach
If you want a break from sunbathing on Miami Beach, there’s plenty more to explore. Miami Beach has some great shops just behind the beach. Have a break from the hot sun and browse some of the shops and fashions.
