2. Enjoy the Disney parade

Another of the top 10 things in Disney World, Orlando as an adult is to enjoy the Disney parade. It’s one of the highlights of any day at Disney. The parade is really impressive, and it’s great to see all the characters wave as they go past. My favourite part of the parade in Orlando was the fire-breathing dragon.

3. Journey back to your childhood in the The Little Mermaid ride

One of my favourite rides in Disney World, Orlando was The Little Mermaid ride. It was one of my favourite films as a child, so I loved going on the ride. There was music from the film playing, and some of my favourite scenes as well.

4. Watch the street shows and characters

One of the advantages of visiting Disney World, Orlando as an adult is that you can stop to watch the street shows whenever you want. If you don’t have children to keep entertained, you can stop whenever you see something interesting and watch for as long as you like. I loved seeing some of the characters from Frozen, as well as Donald Duck and other Disney favourites. I also unexpectedly came across these dancing bears as well, which were great fun!

5. Get scared in the Haunted Mansion

Another great thing about visiting Disney World, Orlando as an adult is you can go on the more scary rides! The Haunted Mansion ride isn’t particularly scary, but it’s still good fun and adds some nice variety to the trip.

6. Enjoy some other shows

There are plenty of shows as well as rides in Disney World, Orlando. They offer a great chance to have sit down in an air-conditioned room to have a break from the intense Florida heat! I’ll be honest, the shows were a bit weird. The Enchanted Tiki Room had some dancing birds and a fun but annoying song. There was also a show with some bears which was weird but also fun. And the Carousel of Progress showed the changes through the time in the ways we live. I really enjoyed the shows even if they were a bit different!

7. Ride the Jungle Cruise

Another ride I really enjoyed at Disney World, Orlando was the Jungle Cruise. I enjoyed sitting on the boat as it slowly went through the river, spotting elephants and other animals on the way. It’s a nice relaxing ride to enjoy.

8. Get the song ‘It’s a Small World’ stuck in your head

No trip to Disney World is complete without riding on the ‘It’s a Small World’ ride. The song is instantly recognisable and annoyingly will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day! But it’s enjoyable to sit in the little boat and go around the ride.

9. Fight with Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland

I got to the Tomorrowland section of Disney World fairly late in the day on my trip, but I’m glad I found some time for it. The Buzz Lightyear ride was good fun, with the chance to try out some shooting and try to get a higher score than your fighting partner. It was good fun!

10. Watch the spectacular fireworks at night

The last of the top 10 things to do in Disney World, Orlando as an adult is to stay late for the fireworks at night. It doesn’t matter that they’re late in the evening when you’re an adult – you can still get back to your hotel for bedtime! The fireworks are really impressive and so beautiful set against the backdrop of the Disney castle, with great music as well. It’s the perfect ending to your day in Disney World, Orlando.
